Thünen scientists visit the Northwest A&F University in China

A delegation from the Institute of Market Analysis was invited to participate in the Sino-German Centre ceremony held at Northwest A&F University in Yangling (China) on the 4th of November 2023. This event served as a platform for enhancing collaboration between agricultural economics institutes in China and Germany. It provided us with the opportunity to present our research results and cultivate collaborative prospects for the future.

During the ceremony, Omid Zamani, Florian Freund, and Janine Pelikan (participating online) presented their research and participated in discussions about potential collaborations. As part of this experience, our team took the opportunity to visit various institutes and sample farms operated by the university.

Additionally, they explored the Northwest Institute of Environment and Socio-Economics Development at Shaanxi Normal University in Shaanxi, further deepening our understanding of the agricultural economics and policies landscape in the region.
