WO Forest Ecosystems

There is always something going on in the forest. Our ears perceive many things before our eyes do. This fact can be used scientifically. The many sounds can be recorded by special acoustic recorders and then analyzed to describe nature and biodiversity. With acoustic forest monitoring, we can generate (bio-)acoustic fingerprints for decision-making processes in management and politics.
