Vocational training is conducted at the institute for the following professions:

Gardener for tree nurseries (“Baumschulgärtner”, at Großhansdorf)  

At Grosshansdorf the institute takes part in the vocational training of research technicians for biology (“Biologisch-Technischen Assistenten / -in”) by providing laboratory internships over several months. The training is conducted in cooperation with the Vocational School G13 in Hamburg-Bergedorf.  

Furthermore, internship opportunities are available for trainees of related professions and university students of biology and forestry. In association with ongoing research projects students can conduct research studies for their bachelor and master degrees. We also welcome/accept national and international fellows for stays at the institute. Please contact specific scientists or the heads of the research groups you are interested in.
