Monitoring, indicators, regional analyses

In this field and together with the Institute of Rural Studies, we continue to develop the Thuenen Monitoring of Rural Areas. In doing so, we focus on the economic situation in rural areas and examine the question of what economic indicators and their development over time tell us about regional disparities and the equivalence of living conditions. The monitoring and regional analyses based on it also enable us to identify which areas and regions require political action. Particular attention is paid to the economic interdependencies of regions and sectors, regional economic structures and value chains.
