Dr. Patrick Küpper elected academician of the ARL

Dr. Patrick Küpper, scientist at the Thünen Institute of Rural Studies, was elected as an academy member for ten years by the general meeting of the Academy for Territorial Development in the Leibniz Association (ARL) on November 25, 2021.

As a competence center for sustainable spatial development, the ARL researches spatial structures and developments, their causes and effects as well as options of their political-planning control on a national and international level. Its work is characterized by the voluntary cooperation of actors from spatial and planning science research and the practice of spatial planning and spatial development.
