On 15.10.2023, the WELT am Sonntag published an article on the 1st page of the Hamburg section about the problem of log fumigation in the port of Hamburg, which is also the subject of the KLIMAtiv project. The article describes the problem of increased wood exports and the associated increase in the use of the greenhouse gas sulfuryldifluoride, which is currently used to treat the exported logs. The institute is researching alternatives to reduce the resulting emissions. The colleagues are excited about the public attention that the project and the problem have gained through this!
