Tim Lewandrowski works as a project staff member in the “Wertholz-Projekt” (valuable-timber project – strategies for generating valuable-timber). His main tasks are the evaluation, identification and characterization of value-enhancing wood structures (e.g. wavy grain, such as fiddleback-structure). In addition, he strengthens the team at the Thünen Center of Competence on the Origin of Timber in the macroscopic and microscopic determination of internationally traded woods and the preparation of expertise’s. He studied Wood Science at the University of Hamburg in the bachelor's degree program and graduated in 2021 from the international MSc course of studies in Wood Science.
