Project
Strengthening networking and cooperation in the RessortForschtKlima project alliance
Networking and coordination project for the projects in the framework of the German Climate Protection Programme 2022 (VKP)
"RessortForschtKlima" is a network of more than 20 projects that are carried out by the Federal Research Institutes under the auspice of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture. They are intended to support the achievement of the 2030 climate protection targets in the areas of food, agriculture and forests - inter alia through new climate protection measures as well as solutions for climate reporting, impact assessments and socio-economic issues.
Background and Objective
The aim of the networking and coordination project is to interlink the various projects, promote synergies, pool findings and, where appropriate, prepare them as input for climate reporting. The four the Federal Research Institutes Julius Kühn-Institut, Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut, Max Rubner-Institut and Thünen Institute are working together to support 27 thematic projects.
Approach
VKP is responsible for the organisation and implementation of networking activities and meetings. Its tasks also include documenting and processing (interim) project results.
The VKP Thünen sub-project is also investigating how GHG emissions from baking wheat can be reduced along the value chain, focussing on agricultural and environmental policy issues.
