  • Investigation of structure-property relationships of so called lesser known species
  • CITES-consultant for tropical and subtropical timbers on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU)
  • Implementation of international workshops in the field of species identification and species protection (CITES).
  • Lecturing determination and characterization of internationally traded timber
  • Wood as raw material in musical-instrument making
