Scientific Background
Since October 2021: Scientist (PhD-student) at the Thünen Institute of Baltic Sea Fisheries. MGF-Ostsee project: “DAM Pilot Mission - Protected areas in the Baltic Sea: Effects of the exclusion of mobile bottom-contacting fishing activities in marine protected areas”.
March 2020 – August 2021: Scientist at the Thünen Institute of Baltic Sea Fisheries. Project: Reduction of plastic waste from the brown shrimp fishery through gear modifications (DRopS).
2016-2019: Master of Science (Marine Ecosystem- and Fishery Scienes) at the University of Hamburg. Thesis in cooperation with the Alfred-Wegener Institute, Bremerhaven, section bentho-pelagic processes: “Stylasterid coral community dynamics in the Larsen area, east Antartic Peninsula“.
2015-2019: Research Assistant on research cruises of the Thünen Institute of Baltic Sea Fisheries and Sea Fisheries.
