Facilitated by GIZ, the German development cooperation, a delegation of 19 influential persons from different Bengal authorities and universities visited Germany to exchange on and learn about sustainable land and natural resource use and mechanisms to tackle use conflicts.
During their visit at our Thünen Institute of Forestry we presented and jointly discussed the topics (i) monitoring by means of remote sensing data, (ii) assessing potential sustainable wood production and wood demand in tropical forest landscapes as well as (iii) payment for ecosystem services.
