Establishment of monitoring of the bioeconomy – Final event

Martin Banse, Susanne Iost, Jörg Schweinle and Holger Weimar together with project partners from the DBFZ took part in the event "Monitoring the bioeconomy: performance, implications and the further development of analytical tools" on December 3 and 4, 2024 in Berlin.

Results from two projects were discussed there:

  • "Establishment of systematic monitoring of the bioeconomy -
    consolidation phase (MoBi II)"

  • "Consolidation of systemic monitoring and modelling of the German bioeconomy (SYMOBIO 2.0)”  | CESR Kassel

The conference dealt with the state of the bioeconomy in Germany and how its development can be measured and evaluated. The joint report of the two projects was presented.

Susanne Iost and Jörg Schweinle presented data on biobased value added and employment. Martin Banse and Holger Weimar explained updated material flows from agriculture, forestry and fisheries. The conference was hosted by CESR Kassel.
