Dr. Björn Seintsch was a studio guest in the TV-show “Makro” in 3Sat.

At Friday, the 13th February 2015, Dr. Björn Seintsch was a studio guest in the TV-show “Makro” in 3Sat. The topic of the broadcast was “Forestry: Hunger for Wood”. Dr. Björn Seintsch answered questions about the subjects sustainability, exploitation efficiency and the latest high national lumber demand.

In the program, the reasons of the current lumber boom were explained and concepts for the fulfillment of the national demand presented. Also the area of conflict between the different social demands at the German Forest, such as nature conservation and biodiversity vs. the materialistic use of wood were pointed out and discussed.
