Dr. Heiner von Lüpke has joined the Thünen institute for forestry and will work as a researcher in the CarbonLeak project on coherence between land use and climate related policies of the EU with those policies of non-EU countries, in particular Indonesia and Brazil.
Dr. Heiner von Lüpke obtained his doctoral degree in the field of political sciences from the Technical University of Darmstadt, where he analyzed processes of policy integration between climate, land use, and energy policy domains. Before joining the institute, Heiner von Lüpke conducted research on climate policy topics with the German institute for economic research (DIW Berlin), worked as climate policy advisor for GIZ to the government of Indonesia, and as associated professional officer for the UN-FAO.
