Niclas Müller is in charge of the project "Further development of the German Forest Accountancy Network"

The forest Accountancy Network (FAN) is the most important data source for assessing the economics situation of forestry in Germany.
Unfortunately, the number of enterpirses providing their accounting results is declining. One possible reason for this development is that the high costs of providing data is usually offset by a low direkt operational benefit fort he participating enterprises. The joint project is seeking for approaches to counteract this trend in order to maintain the FAN as a reliable data source in the future.

After his apprenticeship as a bankclerk, Niclas Müller began his studies of forest science at the Georg-August University Göttingen. He completed his studies with a Master´s degree (M.Sc.) in April in the field of forest sciences and forest ecology – specialising in „Forest Management and Forest Utilisation“.
