Presentation and moderation at the workshop in Canada

The Thünen Institute of Forestry actively participated in two ways -

in the workshop “Advancing Employment Data and Promoting Decent Work in the Forest Sector – Lessons learned and good practices from Canada”, co-organised by Natural Resources Canada, the Forest Products Association of Canada and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), held in a hybrid format in Ottawa on 13th November 2024.

Rattiya Lippe, together with a colleague from FAO, delivered a presentation on the global and regional employment estimates, coupled with the updated methodology.
Jörg Schweinle moderated the plenary discussion on employment statistics in the forest sector – challenges and opportunities to improve data availability.
