The Thünen Institute supports the Society for Tropical Ecology

During the Annual Conference of the Society for Tropical Ecology focusing on "Resilience of Tropical Ecosystems: Future challenges and opportunities”, Dr. Sven Günter from the Dept. “International Forestry” was elected to the scientific advisory board.

The aim of the Society for Tropical Ecology is the study and understanding of all aspects of tropical ecology. The Thünen Institute aims at helping to bridge the gap between solid ecological research and sustainable management of forest ecosystems and livelihoods of forest dependent people in the tropics. Congratulations to the new elected board and good luck for the future endeavors.
