New Thünen Institute to be established in Höxter / Christian Hundt appointed institute director

More than 20 young researchers from all over Germany participated in the PhD Workshop Rural Studies 2021 on September 8 and 9, 2021. The PhD students exchanged ideas on current qualitative research approaches on the topic of "everyday life and tensions in rural areas".


The team of the STAYin(g)Rural international research project at the Thünen Institute for Rural Studies mourns the loss of its colleague Prof. Aileen Stockdale (Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland). Aileen died suddenly and unexpectedly on March 27, 2021 at the age of 56.
