At selected stations along the eighth degree of longitude, researchers from renowned research institutes in Bremerhaven, Bremen and Hamburg will provide exclusive insights into the world of science and take you on an exciting voyage of discovery!
Besides the Klimahaus Bremerhaven and us, the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI), the MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Science (University of Bremen), the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) also located in Bremen, and the Max Planck Institute for Meterology located in Hamburg are participating.
Our colleagues Dr. Lara Kim Hünerlage and Dr. Sabrina Duncan will represent the Thünen Institute of Sea Fisheries. They are looking forward to answering the exciting questions of the Klimahaus guests. They will be happy to tell you about our work at the Thünen Institute and the challenges that lie ahead in marine and fisheries research. Of course, they will also talk about their fascinating projects on the deep sea ('Live and let live in the eternal twilight') and on changing habitats ('Fishing, research and animals in the North Sea Wadden Sea'), so don't miss out!
Do not hesitate to contact us on this exciting journey, our colleagues are looking forward to meeting you!
