An international expert group on fisheries data collection will be held at the Thünen Institute in Bremerhaven from 4-8 November 2019. The meeting is organised by the European Commission in the frame of the Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries (STECF). Invited experts from various EU Member States will evaluate the National Work Plans of the EU Member States under the Data Collection Framework (DCF) for 2020-2021. The National Work Plans provide details on the fisheries to be sampled, the research surveys-at-sea and the collection of economic data from the fishing fleet, aquaculture and fish processing industry. The meeting will be conducted under the chairmanship of the German STECF Member Dr Christoph Stransky of the Thünen Institute of Sea Fisheries.
