since 2006: Research associate at the Thünen Institute of Baltic Sea Fisheries with various tasks: project staff, project leader, research funding, responsible for recreational fishery data collection within the European DCF

2003 - 2006: PhD degree (Dr. rer. agr) at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, Integrated Natural Resources Management of Coastal Fisheries in Nha Phu Lagoon, Vietnam

2000 - 2003: Masters degree (M.Sc.) International Agricultural Science (major), International Agricultural Development (minor) at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, An Economic Assessment on Restocking Sandfish. The Example Nha Trang/Vietnam, Study visits and internships in The Gambia, Ethiopia, Malaysia and Vietnam
