The FGR has been calculated at the Thünen Institute of Forestry since 1991 and provides an overview of the formation of goods and income in the economic sector of forestry in Germany. The focus of Mario Peters' work will be on scientific analyses for the targeted further development of individual FGR-specific calculation and estimation methods. Furthermore, Mr Peters will convert the FGR to the valid accounting system of the European System of Accounts (ESA) and the calculation specifications necessary for this.
Since April 2021, Mario Peters has been working as a research assistant in the project "ForestValue: Valuation of small private forests as raw material suppliers of a bio-based economy (ValoFor)". Mario Peters studied forestry at the University of Hamburg and worked as a student assistant at the Thünen Institute.
