Many countries are experiencing increasing wage inequality among workers as well as between capital owners and workers. In a publication with Patrizio Lecca and Stelianos Sakkas, Damiaan Persyn examines this phenomenon at the regional level in Europe using a spatial macro-economic model.

At this year's GfR summer conference, the Thünen Institute was represented with three presentations focusing on regional inequalities, the influence of transport costs on regional economic activity, and the location choices of graduates.
