Working Groups and Committees

Working Group - CommitteeTasks
ICES
International Bottom Trawl Working Group (IBTSWG)This group plans, coordinates and optimizes fishery-independent multispecies bottom-trawl surveys within the ICES area.
Working Group on Improving use of Survey Data for Assessment and Advice (WGISDAA)The group provides a forum where survey practitioners, statisticians and stock assessment scientists can share expertise and knowledge to advance the science of fisheries surveys.
National Committees
Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF), Runder Tisch „Internationalisierung von Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung“. Themenzyklus „Meere und Ozeane“. The Internationalization strategy of the Federal government of Germany helps in further developing the international cooperation in order to contribute to solving global challenges.

Future Forum on the Ocean (ZFO)

The Future Forum Ocean (ZFO) is a joint body of the marine research community in Germany with the aim of discussing and developing forward-looking overarching scientific and research strategy issues in this field as a forum.
