Working Group - Committee	Tasks
*ICES*
Working Group on Economics (WGECON)	Coordination of possible economic input to requests to ICES (e.g. ecosystem overviews) and development of economic inputs to the work of ICES.
*STECF*
Expert Working Group on Balance Between Fishing Capacity and Fishing Opportunities	This yearly assembled Expert Working Group analyzes the reports of the EU member states regarding the balance between fishing capacity and fishing opportunities.
Plenary - vice chair	The current 32 Members of STECF meet three times a year to formulate the advice of STECF regarding the requests of the EU Commission. In case of extensive requests results of the work of the Expert Working Groups is taken into account.

Bund/Länder-Ausschuss Nord- und Ostsee (BLANO), AG Maßnahmen und Sozioökonomie (MaSök) zur Umsetzung der Meeresstrategie-Rahmenrichtlinie (MSRL)	This working group analyses the planned measure to fulfill the obligation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) and tries to fulfill the obligation to assess socio-economic impacts of these measures.
