Zum Abschluss seiner sechsten Amtsperiode hat der Wissenschaftliche Beirat für Biodiversität und Genetische Ressourcen (WBBGR), in dem auch Prof. Dr. Jens Dauber vom Thünen-Institut für Biodiversität vertreten ist, drei neue Handlungsempfehlungen an das BMEL übergeben.

Bisher waren die Alpen eine natürliche Barriere für die Wildbienenart Bombus argillaceus aus dem südlichen Europa. Eine Königin hat nun offensichtlich den Sprung über die Alpen geschafft. Ob sich die auffällige Hummelart dauerhaft in Deutschland ansiedelt, müssen weitere Studien zeigen.
